Is it smart for a startup to go into a crowded market dominated by a few player?
It can be smart or it can be dumb – it really depends on the start-up’s ability to distinguish itself from the competition. If the start-up can come up with a better product or service that blows the competition out of the water, then entering a crowded market can be a very smart move. However, if the start-up is just making incremental improvements to existing products/services, then it’s going to be tough to compete against companies that have been established for years and have already built up a loyal customer base. So it really comes down to how well the start-up can differentiate itself from the competition.
